Job 32:4-9

New International Version

“I am young in years,
    and you are old;^(B)
that is why I was fearful,
    not daring to tell you what I know.
⁷ I thought, ‘Age should speak;
    advanced years should teach wisdom.’^(C)
8 But it is the spirit^[a](D) in a person,
    the breath of the Almighty,^(E) that gives them understanding.^(F)
9 It is not only the old^[b] who are wise,^(G)
    not only the aged^(H) who understand what is right.^(I)
